About Kathleen Gallagher
Kathleen Gallagher enjoys a distinguished, 25-year career in
publishing.
Her publishing career began at Chilton Publication and her career has
included being publisher at Elsevier (Cahner's Publishing) along with
sales and sales management positions at McGraw-Hill, Lebhar-Friedman,
Crain Communications, and Elsevier/Springhouse.
As the Director of Advertising for healthcare financial management
association’s hfm magazine, she lead a team of advertising
professionals that doubled annual sales on hfm, tripled the ad
revenue in the Buyer's Resource Guide, and created a portfolio of
vertical newsletters, trade show publications and dailies as well as its
online products. She also worked at Director of Sales at the Healthcare
Financial Management Association, where her experience included custom
publishing, Peer Review, exhibit sales and e-learning.
Additionally, she worked a publisher at Reed
Elsevier, an associate publisher on Nursing Management, and a regional
manager for McGraw-Hill on Engineering News Record and Design Build
magazines.
A graduate of Loyola University/ Chicago, Ms. Gallagher holds a degree
in English Literature and Communications/Journalism and an MBA in
Marketing.
